Movement Music & Meditation
Experiential Workshop with Sonic Horizon
This workshop is a gentle meditation journey exploring love in all its forms — love for others, love for ourselves, and the sense of connection and belonging we find within our communities.
Sonic Horizon is a collaboration between two queer Sydney musicians, Joe Ramen and James Adcock, who combine their love of music, storytelling and contemplative practice to create immersive live music meditation experiences.
Through a combination of live music, breathwork, gentle movement, meditation and storytelling, participants will be invited to slow down, listen deeply and explore the feeling of love from within.
Joe Ramen brings the evocative sounds of harmonica and didgeridoo, while James Adcock accompanies on guitar and storytelling. Together, they create a musical landscape that draws on traditions spanning centuries, from the beautiful melodies of the 18th-century Irish composer and harpist Turlough O’Carolan through to contemporary folk and meditative sounds.
Sonic Horizon has led sessions at the Mind Body Spirit Festival, Sydney Conscious Community and Queer Meditation Sydney, creating welcoming spaces where music, mindfulness and community come together.
At its heart, Sonic Horizon is an invitation to breathe, move, listen and connect — taking participants on a shared meditation journey through music and the many dimensions of love.
